D.-Lucrezia-Borgia_Karin-Cooper Single tickets for San Francisco Opera's 2011-2012 season go on sale Sunday, July 10. Some cast changes have also been announced. Michael Fabiano will replace Francesco Meli as Gennaro in Lucrezia Borgia (Renée Fleming pictured left as Lucrezia Borgia, photo by Karin Cooper/Washington National Opera). Lucrezia Garcia and Fabio Sartori replace Oksana Dyka and Ramón Vargas in Attila.

San Diego Opera recently announced a 2012 season. Lise Lindstrom, Greer Grimsley, Alan Glassman, and Irina Mishura star in Salome. The West Coast premiere of Jake Heggie's Moby-Dick features Jay Hunter Morris as Ahab. John Del Carlo, Danielle de Niese, and Charles Castronovo sing in Don Pasquale. The Barber of Seville concludes next season, with Lucas Meachem in the title role.

Santa Fe just announced the 2012 season. Emmanuel Villaume conducts The Pearl Fishers. Leah Crocetto, Patricia Bardon, Bruce Sledge, and Luca Pisaroni have been cast in a new critical edition of Rossini's Maometto II . William Burden and Mariusz Kwiecien sing in Szymanowski's King Roger. Erin Wall sings the title role of Arabella, with Heidi Stober as Zdenka and Mark Delavan as Mandryka.

Matías Tarnopolsky announced Cal Performances's 2011-2012 season at a press conference today. We were seated on the stage and at one point Peter Sellars joined the conference via Skype from Vienna, where his new work is currently in rehearsal.

Mark Morris opens the next season, and he will be conducting Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra. The soloists include Stephanie Blythe and Philip Cutlip. Eric Owens, Philippe Jaroussky, and Susan Graham all have recitals. More New Music and Early Music programming will be announced in September.
